Anonymouth [1] is part of the JStylo [2] Java-based Authorship Recognition Analysis and Evasion Tools by researchers at Drexel university.[1] It is the only openly available tool of its type. The writing attribution component is forked from JGAAP BY Duquesne university researchers. [3]

Writing style forensics is a very powerful deanonymization technique widely for mass surveillance as reported by Snowden in his exchange with journalist Barton Gellman. Also a study has unmasked deep web forum posters. [4][5]

A newline missing before Upstream Author?

Is Anonymouth finished? Still maintained? Last commit was in March 2015.

Fixed formatting.

They are still presenting PETS papers on it but no recent commits as you pointed out. Last I heard from Rachael on Github was that a python rewrite with the most common features was planned when they secure an NSF grant.

I want to stir things up and see what happened to the project.

Someone who managed to build it and tested it 4-5 months ago ran into showstopping bugs. With no commits past 2013 and no recent feedback on any tickets - its considered dead.
