anon-ws-disable-stacked-tor debian/control: Provides: tor

Onioncat (and perhaps others) expect Tor’s sysvinit script / systemd service to be enabled before installation (as per debian/control Pre-Depends: tor). Therefore installation of onioncat (and perhaps other packages) is currently broken on Whonix-Workstation. This is a bug in anon-ws-disable-stacked-tor.

Solution:

provide a dummy sysvinit script that # Provides: tor
provide a dummy systemd service

Original user issue:

Workaround in meanwhile:
manually install Tor before installing onioncat.

Install Tor. (There will be no Tor over Tor - because of anon-ws-disable-stacked-tor.)

sudo apt-get install tor

Then install onioncat.

sudo apt-get install onioncat

Produced a branch that implements this:
https://github.com/Whonix/anon-ws-disable-stacked-tor/tree/tor_init_script

It doesn’t work when the tor package is already installed.
insserv: script tor.anondist: service tor already provided!
insserv: exiting now!
update-rc.d: error: insserv rejected the script header
