I tried loading the newer XFCE Gateway, and I got this error message in “Anon Connection Wizard”:

“Tor failed to (re)start. Job for tor@default.service failed because the control process exited with error code. Error Code: 141. Often, this is because of your torrc file(s) has corrupted settings. See “systemctl status tor@default.service” and “journalctl -xe” for details. You may not be able to use any network facing application for now.”

What should I do? Should I re-download the virtual machine?

You could try what the message is already telling you.

You’d have to add sudo in front of it though.
