I don’t know if this will ever happen. Would require,

• improving zenity (C code). - Probably not.
• or a zenity replacement that supports updating strings (download speed) while open, that can be called from bash
• or running a progress bar replacement (python) from tb-updater (bash)
• or expert bash / zenity scripting skills - somehow updating, already open/existing zenity progress bars

Or how long it will take for T18 to happen.

Lowering priority, because Tor Browser now has it’s own internal updater and because tb-updater has been degraded to being a downloader only.

Also fixing torbrowser-launcher might be a better use of time:
