I have pictures taken with a cell phone I want to move directly on to Whonix. Right now I have /mnt/shared pointed to /tmp/ on the host OS and I put files I want to transfer in there then cut and paste it to the Workstation filesystem. This requires me to have to repeatedly back out of the VM and use the host OS which I find very annoying. Is there any way so when I’m inside the Workstation VM I can access my phones filesystem and thumb drives? Whenever I hook them in they pop up only on the host OS.
You can try to redirect the phone USB to the WS. It didn’t work back then because support was lacking for this usecase. It could have changed with Buster. Let me know so I update the wiki.
