Ubuntu freezes when connecting!

Hey, i am using Ubuntu as my host to connect to whonix gateway and windows 7 in virtual box but whenever whonix is connected to the internet and windows 7 is open at the same time my computer becomes unresponsive. Any idea what to do?

This sound like a RAM issue. Do you have sufficient RAM for both Whonix and your host running at the same time? Try shutting down any unnecessary processes on your host.

You can also use rads to decrease the RAM in Whonix-Gateway to the minimum necessary for the desktop to start: 512 MB

You may also have to lower RAM in VirtualBox. These instructions show where to do that. (Make sure to lower not increase RAM)
