Trying and failing to install zebrad

I want to install zebrad. It requires rustc 1.91 to build from source and whonix only has 1.85. I know I can also run in a docker but this sounds hard. Is it hard? Is special configuration needed because it’s whonix?

Is running sudo systemctl mask whonix-firewall something that puts me at risk?

Is there any way to install rustc 1.91 without breaking package compatibility?
