(solved)No internet on Gateway

Hello there,

After a new installation of the Linux host “Mint19.3.Cinnamon” Whonix no longer has an internet connection.

I get the following message in the gateway:

"Error:check network interfaces Result: network interface eth1 not up! If you know what you are doing,feel free to disable this check.Create a file /etc/whonix.d/50:whonixcheck_user.conf and add:

Whonixcheck_skip_function+=" check_network_interfaces "

Debugging information: Command cat /sys/class/net/eth1/carrier failed."

I tried:“cat /sys/class/net/eth1/carrier”

with the result:"No such file or directory.

The file “carrier” does exist,but is empty.

I am using VirtualBox 5.2.34.

I need this Version because of a Windows-Guest.

Please,use simple words.

Old VirtualBox versions are unsupported.

In past this Version of VirtualBox worked fine with this Version of Mint.

By using VirtualBox 6.0.14 I was able to solve the problem.
