Probably not reasonable to have a separate package. Putting this into a general gateway-usablity package seems more appropriate.

Difficult to fix, because I do not see anything in the background. I am testing in Workstation, but that should not make a difference.
Can you see it when generic-gui-message is called from open-link-confirmation (or tb-updater and tb-starter now)?
I forgot to say, the terminal window only happened when anon-gw-first-run-notice was automatically started after boot.
