same shortcut names (different in paths) = confusion

there some shortcuts names in the shortcuts list have identical names but not the same paths, like:-

  • “Help”

there r two of them

first one:-

qubes-desktop-run /usr/share/applications/yelp.desktop

second one:-

qubes-desktop-run /usr/share/applications/kde4/Help.desktop

  • “imageMagic (display Q16)”

first one:-

qubes-desktop-run /usr/share/applications/display-img6.desktop

and the second one is:-

qubes-desktop-run /usr/share/applications/display-img6.q16.desktop

  • “Tor Browser”

first one:-

qubes-desktop-run /usr/share/applications/anondist-torbrowser.desktop

second one:-

qubes-desktop-run /usr/share/applications/janondisttorbrowser.desktop

3 posts were merged into an existing topic: two terminals shortcuts with one right click (whonix specific)

same happening with whonix 13 , but this time we have terminal and konsole ? (why gnome stuff inside whonix?)

paths:-

konsole

qubes-desktop-run /usr/sahre/applications/kde4/konsole.desktop

terminal

qubes-desktop-run /usr/sahre/applications/gnome-terminal.desktop

Improve handling of duplicate shortcut names · Issue #1669 · QubesOS/qubes-issues · GitHub milestone is set to Qubes 4.1 with the label help-wanted added to the ticket. In my observation which could be wrong the probability for getting this fixed without a contributor popping up out of nowhere in mid term future is low.
