I have accidentally deleted sys-whonix vm and have just created an app vm like described in the docs.
The problem is, when I look at the top bar and go for the qubes logo where I can check swdate of all running qubes vms, I only see the running gateway?
Is this normal behaviour? Is this dangerous in any way?
Use salt to (re-)install Qubes-Whonix.
salt attempts to configure dom0 according to specification and would probably show an error if something went wrong.
