Monero gui2 no display text bug

Hi, I was interested in using the Monero GUI client on my whonix vm but when I open it looks very odd looking and missing text. I have attached three images to show you what I mean.

Good day,

Are you able to reproduce the issue on a Debian VM?

Have a nice day,

I don’t have a standalone Debian vm available to reproduce this bug, I am just solely using the whonix vm.

edit; I came across a couple reddit posts talking about the same thing and being font related so I started the gui this way and I can see text now.

QT_QPA_FONTDIR=“/usr/share/fonts/truetype/freefont” ./start-gui.sh

any gui u gonna use inside whonix rather than the default kde will cause u into messy situation. thats because kde inside whonix configured and build to serve its necessity. sadly due to the low hand workers inside whonix we cannot configure and secure multiple DEs to work smoothly inside whonix. if u r willing to contribute for monero u r very welcome. (read the documentation it will help u alot to understand the work of kde inside whonix).
