Please use “thumbnail link”. Not “normal link”.
Examples:
normal link, cannot use:

thumbnail link, can use:

Otherwise these don’t work in some situations such as on twitter.

Indeed. No need to change. Can stay as is.
Needs a different image. It’s not so much about being a controller. More about being an observer. Perhaps a magnifying glass? But we’re using a magnifying glass elsewhere on the Whonix homepage already. Perhaps a telescope? Other ideas?
