Minor issue: [WARNING] [whonixcheck] Debian Package Update Check Result

whonix 9.6 , when the whonixcheck give a message that there r some packages updates to do , normally i went to konsole then sudo apt-get update & sudo apt-get dist-upgrade. so after everything is completed all looks normal and i even double check the apt-get dist-upgrade:-

but when i [glow=red,2,300]shutdown[/glow] whonix (both workstation&gateway) the following message appear:-

[WARNING] [whonixcheck] Debian Package Update Check Result: apt-get reports that 18 packages can be updated

and when i re-open whonix and shutdown it again, all appeared normal.

what i want from this report , is to make improvement regarding the detection of apt-get dist-upgrade is been succeeded after the shutdown. or if its already detecting that, then its better to change the warning message to:- " Debian Package Update Check Result:- 18 packages will be installed after shutdown". or any other message.

it gives some releaf when u dont c [WARNING] or ERROR for a false call.

Yes, that’s because console tty0 (physical isolation: ctrl + alt + f1 | or virtualizer host key + f1) (Platform-specific Desktop Tips) is needlessly kept open. During shutdown you see those outdated messages. It’s not that reboot is required [not for that purpose, perhaps for a reason listed herehttps://www.whonix.org/wiki/Security_Guide#Updates]. It’s just that this message is too old.

Will likely be fixed in Whonix 11. Ticket:
