Not sure if still up to date. This is what I recently read about it:

No auto-resize with QXL driver

You must never use any other drivers except QXL/SPICE (or virGL if 3D is needed). The rest have crappy performance and long standing security issues. Recently one of our users discovered that xfce resolution settings can survive reboots. Test them out and pick a resolution that works for your screen and take a snapshot after to preserve it. Unfortunately not all resolutions work for all screen dimensions so its something you must try and choose.

Whonix VM display is now set to Virtual-0 .

If figured out, could you please send a pull request against https://github.com/Whonix/whonix-libvirt/tree/master/usr/share/whonix-libvirt/xml?
Then let’s hope @HulaHoop doesn’t find any problem with that.

Yes, for sure. Also to keep support for users who are still using the old XML file version.

What’s causing the KVM dash “-”?

If monitor name could be same for KVM and VirtualBox then that config file could be simplified.

Also as for vm-config-dist/etc/skel/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/displays.xml at master · Kicksecure/vm-config-dist · GitHub … If you have any suggestions please send a pull request. I guess easiest is to merge it, create a git tag and then let everyone test.
