Kicksecure as a Whonix-ws on Qubes

Hello, this is probably a dump question, but I looked the docs and previous posts, but did not find my answer, maybe I am blind.

I am on Qubes, and I want to connect to my server over tor. I created a kicksecure template with tor browser, remmina, openssh-client, etc…

  1. If I connect an appvm based on this template to Whonix gateway, will the tor browser in the Kicksecure appvm create a tor-over-tor scenario?
  2. Should I clone Whonix-workstation-18 and install my client side software there instead?
  3. Is using vms other than Whonix workstation as clients of Whonix-gateway unsupported?
