If I understand correctly, after this unicode handling, when a user wants to open a file with unicode characters in the filename, they will be warned, but an option will still be available to open the file anyway?
Yes, and options will also be present to view the Unicode in the directory names (either directly or in an indirect, safer way).
Edit: This tool only opens directories, not files, so it won’t warn if a file in a directory contains Unicode characters. (In the past, if even a file name included Unicode, it would choke on it, that issue is fixed with the above commit.)
