Hello Whonix devs and everyone, (and a big thank you to Patrick for your continued work!)
I have a basic question about long-term updating of Whonix as major version improvements are implemented.
If I’ve installed Whonix stable 13.0.0.1.4 (say with VirtualBox), whenever Whonix 14.x stable comes out and I want to benefit from the improvements in security and design in the new Whonix version, do I have to start from fresh VM templates and completely reinstall from scratch in order to do that, or do all major updates still come through the apt-get updates?
b) Or download, verify, install new Whonix 14 images (Gateway and Workstation) for your platform in non-Qubes-Whonix from the download section when stable is released. Which will be here (edit - correct link):
I’d be more than happy to update the wiki Patrick and contribute (just put a basic FAQ bullet point somewhere that seems obvious), is that possible if I create a wiki account? I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes! Especially as I’m not a dev contributor.

Anyone can contribute to the Whonix wiki. All contributions are welcome!!

You can create an account or edit anonymously.
Keep in mind…
Please note that all contributions to Whonix may be edited, altered, or removed by other contributors. If you do not want your writing to be edited mercilessly, then do not submit it here.
You are also promising us that you wrote this yourself, or copied it from a public domain or similar free resource (see Whonix:Copyrights for details). Do not submit copyrighted work without permission!
I forgot to mention that any wiki edits you make have to be reviewed by Patrick before they can be pushed to the wiki. Also content is more important than grammar, punctuation, spelling etc etc… so don’t worry if its not perfect grammatically.
