Hi, I’m trying to install VeraCrypt onto Whonix. They offer debian download on their download page. I just don’t know what I’m doing. How do I install this program onto Whonix?
I downloaded the Debian version 12 that Veracrypt offers on their download page. I have the latest version of Whonix fully updated so I assume it’s that one. When I click on the file in Whonix, it asks what program I want to open it up with. I have no idea…
I just am so lost
To add, I moved the debian file to the Whonix desktop screen.
I did try going to terminal and typing ‘sudo apt install veracrypt’
but that did nothing, said file not found. But the file isn’t even named veracrypt.
What I’m trying to say is that I’m beyond lost. Any help would be incredibly grateful. I will literally pay someone to help me through this. I am tired of trying to figure this out lol.
I will literally crypto someone money if they can walk me through this and get VeraCrypt onto my Whonix. Idk what else to do, I’ve tried googling this for hours, no information out there that I know how to even begin to understand.
(Whonix is based on Kicksecure.)
