Are you in a position to tell the community more about this? It is an exciting development, particularly if developers can be engaged to tackle outstanding issues or enhancements for Whonix.

Hopefully you held onto some of those bitcoins and enjoyed the vertical price rise in recent times!

Good news indeed! Keep up the good work!

Update: things moving very slowly. Don’t hold your breath for this. I will let you know should there be any news for this unnamed sponsor or any other potential future sponsor.

So is there an announcement to make about this unnamed sponsor?

It seems there was recently an unannounced announcement on the Whonix.org homepage of disclosing who this new unnamed official sponsor is?

“The official sponsor of Whonix is EyeOnPASS.com - An API solution for websites and applications that prevents credential stuffing attacks on their user’s accounts.”

It would be good for Whonix users to know more information about this company, where they are from, and the type of arrangement of influence they have upon Whonix, how much and how long or often they are contributing for, and any influence on hiring of developers, writing code, suggesting features and so on.

Status is still the same as here:

At this point I doubt it will move forward.

I regret having made this public too early since now it badly reflects. So now even if it does work, it’s best to restart the announcement.

This is a different sponsor.
