[Help Welcome] KVM Development - staying the course

Official KVM logo, I think.

Original KVM logo looked non-ideal imo. Too similar to Linux tux. Therefore a new version which is now used in Whonix wiki and on Whonix homepage has been made available. Hope that’s OK.

I’ll soon get the SVG version. Then, if you like, you could donate it on the KVM mailing list. The copyright can be assigned to KVM developers or public domain, whichever they choose. If they’re interested, they could use it as their new project logo. Unconditional donation with no strings attached of course.

However, of course others such as Whonix wiki would appropriate if use under fair use would continue to be permitted to talk about KVM in ways it’s reasonable impossible to confuse it with the original project such as showing “this Whonix download link is for Whonix KVM version”. That however is not a condition.

He’s how the preview image will look like in this forums:

Looks good. I like how compact it is. The identity of KVM is tied to the kernel so much that it’s indistinguishable - maybe that’s why they designed the way they did.

|description=Using {{project_name_long}} with KVM (Kernel Virtual Machine)

Would be better mentioning Linux too?

|description=Using {{project_name_long}} on Linux using KVM (Kernel Virtual Machine)

No this is implied by Tux and not included in the original.

A post was merged into an existing topic: kicksecure on host

Link Kicksecure ™ for KVM with Xfce is deprecated. That would be Kicksecure ™ for KVM with Xfce now, waiting to be populated.

KVM: Difference between revisions - Whonix

Done. Thanks to @GavinPacini who I assume is behind these changes.

Hopefully I’ll get to it soon. Any idea what a common graphics intensive program I can use to benchmark?

Not sure what exactly you are referring to but I do see my name in the diff. I don’t remember making those changes however.

Careful with these changes. Could be malicious Specifically if by anonymous.

Nonsense edit.

You’ll need to log into your Whonix-Gateway once and run

Really required? That would be a bug.

Hm so someone impersonated you? Do you have a wiki account registered?

Yes, I do: Login required - Whonix

I think someone just wrote my first name, but actually, if I am reading the diff correctly, that edit comes from an unregistered user.

Different diffs can be generated using using the history page.

Examples:

These show exactly the authorship.

Indeed. Not by you. No question about it.

Correct.

Someone wrote your name into the edit text area. Either by mistake or trolling. It makes no sense.

Correct.

No.

As seen in the diff it was an anonymous edit.
