Virtual box seems to work fine, but when I run whonix in KVM, it gives me this error. I had the VM’s set to read only, so I’m not sure if thats affecting it. I’m unsure how to turn off read only in KVM.
That’s a Tor problem nothing related directly to Whonix. If it was related to read-only you wouldn’t have been able to boot at all.
Try rolling back a snapshot if you took it before first boot or re-importing if you haven’t saved a snapshot.
