Can't access ssh local forwarded ports via the torbrowser

I have a “ssh -L port:host:port” kind of tunnel from Workstation9 to the outside
localhost:port works just fine in icewiesel but in torbrowser it gives
"Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1:port"

I suppose that’s limited on a purpose or just a bug?
