After a while of updating system i got many packages that are not used. APT says i can remove these by running apt autoremove.
But I’m afraid to run apt autoremove on whonix-gateway because maybe that can break gateway somehow ?
I worry about this because i read on stackexchange that apt manager “only thinks” these packages are no longer needed, but there is chance that they are in use.
I want ask what is recommended thing todo here.
Do i must run apt autoremove, or it doesn’t matter ?
Does leaving old packages decrease security ?
Please advice what is recommended practice with apt autoremove on whonix-gateway.
