Any pros of using VPN before Tor?

Hello. Tor is blocked in my country. I can only use two ways to connect to Tor:

  1. ISP -> obfs4 bridge > middle node > exit node > site
  2. ISP -> VPN -> obfs4 bridge > middle node > exit node > site

Which one should I prefer? Does VPN before Tor makes me safer or just slows down the connection?

Using a VPN to connect to Tor is rarely if ever advisable.
You are basically connecting to a permanent guard node which is a single point of failure.

It may obscure the fact that you are using Tor, but it would make your connection much less secure.

ISP → VPN > middle node > exit node > site
