Stream Isolation Functional?

Hello, On the new Whonix 14, the Whonix check doesn’t automatically start, so I am unsure if I am connected to Tor. I find myself running the check every time I logon. Is this normal?

Also, with Whonix 13, after the check would run, it would pop up with a window saying “Stream Isolation Functional” and show the two IP addresses. Is this no longer happening? I liked having that pop up as an assurance. Is it safe to assume it’s functional, or is there a way I can double check?

Thanks!

Hi David888

These changes were made for Whonix 14. What you are see is expected behavior.

Whonix uses stream isolation for all applications listed here unless you disable it.
